Day 2 – Sunday

I love America – or at least the breakfast! Cereals, omelettes (cooked to order – I ordered one with a ‘bit of everything’), pancakes, bacon, sausages, fruit salad and more. Debs, Thomas and Eliza had already been for a swim – the rest of us had done nothing to earn ours, but it still tasted great.

We then drove to Sanibel Island where we have settled in. And we spent the afternoon on the beach (a three minute walk away), playing in the enormous waves (the Gulf of Mexico!) and getting our first rays from the Florida sun.

Sanibel is famous for its beaches and shells, and there are thousands all along the beach. Eliza loved looking for nice ones – but they are quite painful to walk on as we were going into the water.
